Metro turned 35 years old yesterday. I made this video on Metro about a year ago. The concept was to show a day in the life of Metro, beginning from its early morning opening until it closes near midnight on a week day. When I shot this, I interviewed a bunch of riders asking them what they thought of their rail commute each day. Their answers were typical. The commute was fine they said, but they wished Metro was more efficient.  The trains get too packed at rush hour, but people are glad the system exists. Our local viewers already knew these answers, so regurgitating them in the video seemed pretty boring when it came time to edit. I decided to scrap the interviews and try to create a more visceral, visual experience instead. This is what came out of it.
